Contemporary Applied Arts : TEXTILES – CERAMICS – GLASS – JEWELLERY
In 1992 Hilde opens her first own Applied Arts gallery in a historical house in de city center of Antwerp. She organizes very actively for consecutive years exhibitions and soon she felt the need for more exhibition space.
In 1996 she moves with her gallery to a new restored historical building, which used to be a former butcher shop with its own smokehouse, near the Antwerp town hall.
The annexed workshop where in which the smokehouses are located can become the extension for bigger exhibitions. The existing basements, where in former days the pickled herring was prepared, can occasionally be integrated in the exhibitions spaces.
The initial goal of the gallery for Hilde as being a Textile artist was mainly to have simultaneous exhibition and working space.
In addition she exhibits beside her own artistic work a personal selection of upcoming talented artists.

De galerie werd opgestart einde 1992 in een historisch gebouw gelegen in de Haarstraat te Antwerpen.
Enkele jaren van bruisende tentoonstellingsactiviteit toonden de noodzakelijkheid van een ruimere locatie aan.
Sinds einde 1996 is de galerie gevestigd hartje Antwerpen, aan de Koraalberg vlakbij de Grote Markt, in een gerestaureerd historisch pand waarin vele jaren een slagerij-rokerij werd uitgebaat.
Het aansluitend achterliggend eigen atelier kan bij grotere exposities mede worden ingeschakeld.
In de zeer nabije toekomst zullen ook de authentieke kelders worden geïntegreerd in de tentoonstellingsruimte.
Doelstelling van de galerie.
Hoofdzakelijk bestemd als eigen expositie-en werkruimte.
Aanvullend wordt sporadisch een selectie tentoongesteld met werk van beloftevolle kunstenaars.
